09 April 2008 - Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in a major victory for the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition and the Housing Credit industry, the House Ways and Means Committee passed—by an overwhelming, bipartisan majority—the Housing Assistance Tax Act of 2008, H.R. 5720.

AHTCC Scheduled to Participate in Congressional Black Caucus Forum

September 07, 2006

AHTCC legislative counsel Francine Friedman will be participating in the Congressional Black Caucus' issue forum entitled "Economic Development in the Wake of Disaster: Putting the Market to Work for Working Families and Communities" on Thursday, September 7, 2006.

The forum will look at the challenges confronting New Orleans in the post-Katrina era as it strives to rebuild the city's housing inventory.  Ms. Friedman will discuss how the Low Income Housing Tax Credit has been designated as a critical tool for those rebuilding efforts.
