Congress Passes HUD 2530 Legislation - Now Headed to White House

May 24, 2007

Late Thursday evening, May 24, 2007, the Senate passed H.R. 1675 through Unanimous Consent. 

AHTCC has been working for over a year to address concerns raised over HUD's 2530 filing process. This legislation, once signed by the President, will accomplish this goal.

H.R. 1675 allows for paper filings of HUD Form 2530 until HUD addresses technical issues with the APPS filing system. Additionally, this legislation exempts passive investors from 2530 filing requirements.

AHTCC will monitor this bill and update its members once the legislation has been signed.
