Renee Ibarra is a member of EY’s Tax Credit Investment Advisory Services Group. She has over 16 years of housing credit experience and focuses on providing consulting and advisory services to institutional investors in low-income housing credit transactions. Renee oversees the low-income housing tax credit due diligence business, providing real estate and tax due diligence services and evaluating tax credit syndication companies. She has been involved in over 165 syndicator and/or fund due diligence reviews since joining the firm. In addition, Renee co-authored Understanding the Dynamics VI, a study of housing tax credit investment and property performance across the nation, and the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Investment Survey, a study of investor motivations and response to various legislative proposals. She has also participated in the authoring of several new market tax credit applications and the production of a quarterly publication analyzing the renewable energy markets for all 50 states. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Renee was employed at a national low-income housing tax credit syndication firm in an asset management capacity. She was responsible for the oversight, management, and maximization of a nationwide low-income housing tax credit portfolio. Renee earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The State University of New York at Buffalo and an M.B.A from Boston College with a Finance concentration
