As Chief Development Officer, Mr. Nagraj is the senior executive responsible for overseeing the daily project management functions of the company and the work of project manager direct reports. He oversees all project management across the country, including the company’s Western, Midwest, Southern, and MidAtlantic regions, and Puerto Rico/USVI. He also helps leadership teams think holistically about the business while also representing the perspectives and functions of direct reports. Prior to his role as Chief Development Officer, Mr. Nagraj was Senior Vice President and Director of Development, Bay area. In this role, he led McCormack Baron Salazar’s development operations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Prior to joining McCormack Baron Salazar, Mr. Nagraj served as Director of San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR). In this role he oversaw SPUR’s political advocacy for housing, transportation, f iscal health and homelessness. Prior to joining SPUR, Mr. Nagraj was Director of Development for BRIDGE Housing Corporation. In this role, he supervised a team of project managers for real estate development efforts totaling over 1,600 units. Mr. Nagraj holds a Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Biology from Brown University. He was recently reappointed to serve on the 7-member Board of the California Housing Partnership Corporation—a statewide housing finance and policy group whose board members are appointed by the Governor and other state officials. In addition, he served two-terms as a member of the Oakland Planning Commission, serving as Chair of Planning Commission.
