Fred Copeman is an Executive Vice President for Boston Financial. He is involved in the company’s housing preservation program, is responsible for helping Boston Financial to launch its first Opportunity Zone fund and represents the firm on governmental affairs matters. Mr. Copeman brings 30 years of experience in the public accounting business and the LIHTC industry to his role. Prior to joining Boston Financial in 2017, he spent 23 years with Ernst & Young LLP and seven years with CohnReznick LLP and led the tax credit advisory practice at both firms. During his career in public accounting, Mr. Copeman served as a due diligence advisor for corporations reviewing housing credit investments and authored or co-authored twelve studies on the economic performance of housing tax credit properties. Mr. Copeman received a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University, his Master of Taxation from Bentley University and his Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law. Mr. Copeman is a frequent speaker at housing credit industry conferences and serves on the Board of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition.
