Welton Pride

Open Access Fellow

Welton Pride is an Open Access Fellow through the Real Estate Associate Program (REAP) this spring with the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC). In his role as a fellow, he will be provided the opportunity to learn more about affordable housing programs and advocacy and aid the AHTCC Staff in their efforts to expand and strengthen the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and complementary programs.  Working in a variety of diverse industries, ranging from interning on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), to Nashville-based affordable housing developers, to working with Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programing with the local housing agency through the Nashville Promise Zone (NPZ), Welton has over 4 years of experience in the community development space and nonprofit advocacy around affordable housing.

Welton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and  Entrepreneurship with a minor in Africana Studies from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is completing his Master of Education degree in Community Development and Action this spring from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
