Located at 1004 E 39th Street, Cady Lofts is a new, 100 percent permanent supportive housing community in Austin, Texas. Co-developed by SGI Ventures and the non-profit Austin Affordable Housing Corporation, a subsidiary of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin, Cady Lofts stands as a beacon of hope in Central Austin. It offers housing stability for individuals experiencing homelessness, living with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities, or recovering from substance addictions. While the development’s income-targeting set-asides range from 30 percent to 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI), all residents are expected to have incomes between 0 percent and 30 percent of AMI.

Cady Lofts provides 100 fully furnished studio homes with Project-Based Vouchers that cover all utilities for residents. Each home is equipped with an in-home stovetop, refrigerator, and microwave. The building also features common area amenities, including a computer lab, central laundry, an outdoor courtyard, and on-site offices with meeting/training rooms staffed by six case management workers and one supervisor. Additionally, Cady Lofts offers a range of free wrap-around services guided by Housing First best practices, promoting self-sufficiency through financial literacy, benefit enrollment, education services, job skills training, and employment assistance.

Cady Lofts was developed by SGI Ventures, Inc. in partnership with Austin Affordable Housing Corporation, and invested in by Hunt Capital Partners.
