MISSISSIPPI REGION VI RAD, LP

Mississippi Region VI RAD, LP in central Mississippi won a 2023 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award in the HUD Preservation Housing category.

Mississippi Region VI RAD, LP provides over 250 affordable homes to families and seniors in central Mississippi. The development is scattered among nine different geographical sites in six different counties across the region and was developed through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Rental Assistance Demonstration program, with financing facilitated by Red Stone Equity Partners. MR6RAD features a variety of amenities and services that benefit residents, including financial literacy, health and wellness, and educational programming, peer support groups, and access to a full-time resident services coordinator.

The development represents the efforts of co-developers Knight Development and Mississippi Regional Development Corporation to preserve, improve, and increase affordable housing opportunities in rural and urban areas of Central Mississippi, and was made possible through support from local and state representatives, Cedar Rapid Bank & Trust, Mississippi Home Corporation, and Mississippi Association of Affordable Housing Providers.
