SLAUSON STATION APARTMENTS

LOS ANGELES, CA

Slauson Station Apartments is an affordable housing community comprised of a single, three-story building serviced by an elevator and built over subterranean parking for 41 cars. The immediate neighborhood consists of primarily single-family homes, with some light industrial and commercial land uses. Adjacent land use includes an elevated Blue line light-commuter railway which is approximately 50 feet west of the property site (the building was built to specifications that insulate the units from unacceptable levels of noise).

The 30 homes, a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, are rented to families whose incomes are at or below 30 percent, 35 percent and 50 percent of area median income. Common area amenities include on-site management with leasing office, a 1,052 square foot community room with kitchen, a computer room with internet services, a laundry room, tot lot, interior courtyards, and drought tolerant landscaping. Resident services and social programs are provided in the community room.

This property was financed using the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit). Financing for Slauson Station Apartments was facilitated by R4 Capital. The development team is comprised of Deep Green Housing and Community Development and APEC International, LLC.
