Matt Reilein is the President and CEO of National Equity Fund, Inc. (NEF). NEF is the leading non-profit, multi-family, affordable, real estate investment manager with a mission to create and deliver innovative, collaborative financial solutions to expand the creation and preservation of affordable housing. Through its Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) syndication platform and its lending and investing platforms, NEF generates opportunities rooted in its vision that all individuals and families across the country have access to stable, safe, and affordable homes. He leads a team of 215 industry experts that manage over 130,000 units of affordable housing, $21 billion of assets, and raise and deploy over $2.5 billion annual in support of NEF’s mission. Previously, Matt was Managing Director of Community Development Banking at JPMorgan Chase.
In addition to AHTCC, Matt serves on the Boards of the National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders, Chicago Community Loan Fund, Raza Development Fund, the Woods Fund of Chicago, and the Metropolitan Planning Council. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
