Alex Turney is the Policy Manager at the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) where he supports legislative and regulatory advocacy to promote and enhance affordable housing opportunities. Previously, Alex worked as the Policy Manager at MENTOR where he engaged with Congressional staff to advance legislative priorities related to mentoring programs for young people. Prior to his work at MENTOR, Alex worked in the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education and as a staffer for then-Congressman Al Lawson Jr.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia where he also earned a Master of Public Policy from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.
