Academy Place is the all-new construction of a 50-home family development, consisting of one two-story, garden-style building that includes one-, two- and three-bedroom homes set-aside for households earning up to 30-60 percent of AMI. The 9% Housing Credit was used to finance the property, with syndication provided by Hunt Capital Partners, LLC. The Summit Housing Group developed the Academy Place Apartments.
In collaboration with Broomfield Afghan Evacuee Taskforce to alleviate stressors from the refugee crisis, Academy Place Apartments ensures housing security for 4 Afghan refugee families with help on deposits and rent provided by Broomfield FISH.
The property features a fitness center, community clubhouse, business center, playground and a community garden. Additionally, the structure of Academy Place was designed to promote less consumption of natural resources, thereby providing lower utility bills to residents through the use of building insulation design and window efficiencies. All homes feature a balcony or outdoor patio.
Academy Place is centrally located to the surrounding neighborhood, making it conveniently near the Broomfield Library, Community Center and Workforce Center, as well as the Broomfield Community Park.
