H3C, is an innovative blend of affordable housing and healthcare nestled in Central City, New Orleans, along the iconic Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. The acronym symbolizes a fusion of health with the area’s enduring values of culture, commerce, and community. The 210,000-square-foot project comprises of a 192 one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental apartments crafted to National Green Building Standards, H3C stands as a beacon of sustainable living. The Belle Reve Senior Building and Belle Reve Center at H3C, focuses on seniors aged 55 and older. It offers 92 thoughtfully designed apartments and supportive services tailored to seniors, with a focus on members of the senior community.

Residents of H3C have access to onsite comprehensive mental and physical healthcare services, ensuring holistic well-being. A vibrant community room and a scenic rooftop deck are accessible for various events and gatherings, fostering social engagement.

Resident services at H3C include finance and budgeting courses and peer-led recreational and social activities. Co-located in the building on Oretha Castle Haley Blvd is a state-of-the-art Federally Qualified Health Center managed by DePaul Community Health Centers, one of Louisiana’s largest community health center networks.

Financing for this property was facilitated by R4 Capital and developed by Gulf Coast Housing Partnership and Alembic Community Development. H3C was developed using the 4 percent Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit).
