A large community green space in the center of the development includes walking paths, benches, covered pavilions, a playground, community gardens, covered bike shelters, and a “little free library.” The community building also includes an early childhood education center to serve over 100 children. The center will be operated by an established local nonprofit childcare provider that will reserve a portion of its reduced-cost childcare slots for residents up to five years of age.
The development represents the efforts of CARE Communities and Midwest Housing Equity Group to preserve, improve, and increase affordable housing opportunities in Fort Collins, Colorado.
