Rose Gardens Senior Apartments, developed by Nevada HAND in partnership with the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority and syndicated by Enterprise Housing Credit Investments, is an independent senior public housing community with 120 affordable homes in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Residents previously lived in a 43-year-old public housing development located across the street from the new development, which had fallen into disrepair. Residents informed the amenities and benefits within their new homes, which aim to combat senior isolationism and provide much-needed resources for other issues affecting seniors, such as food instability, medical care, and benefit utilization. Rose Gardens’ amenities include a dog park, music room, library, fitness rooms, and multiple community spaces. The development has a full-time Resident Services Coordinator who conducts personalized assessments with all residents to determine individual needs, connects residents with resources, and creates opportunities for residents to socialize and build a sense of community.
