Affordable Housing Development Corporation (AHDC), Butte County Affordable Housing Development Corporation (BCAHDC), and the City of Chico recently announced the groundbreaking of North Creek Crossings (NCC) Phase I and II, a two-phase development totaling 160 one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental homes for the workforce community in Chico, California. 100% of the homes at North Creek Crossings will be rent-restricted with rents ranging from 30-60% of area median income, depending on unit size and family income. The 9 percent Housing Credit was utilized in the development of this property
NCC will feature solar photovoltaic system including carports and roof mounted structures, and a solar thermal system. The project is built to Build It GreenĀ® standards, meets and exceeds Title 24 requirements, and includes a high efficiency, water saving irrigation system. The new development will include a community building that has a beautifully furnished community room, TV lounge, a fully furnished kitchen, a game room, conference room, restroom facilities, and manager office spaces. North Creek Crossings will also include BBQ/picnic areas, a community garden, and two tot lot areas with play equipment next to large open green spaces for the use of all residents.
